This Policy is applicable to this Site and not to any other site on the World Wide Web.
Information Collection
Individuals complete a registration process to become a member of the KarmicLiving site ("Member"). Some of the features of the site are only available to Members. KarmicLiving reserve the right to change which features of the site are restricted to Members and which are available to those visitors that are not members of the site (Guests)
Membership registration involves providing a valid email address. No other personal information is required in order to obtain a membership account.
Members may also be encouraged at certain times to provide additional voluntary personal information about themselves.
Some features of KarmicLiving may require you to provide additional personal information. For example in order to invite a friend, we ask that you have provided your own name so we can identify you to your friend. Information collected from Members is used as follows:
- to tell other members of the site about yourself and your interests to help us build a cooperative community.

Information gathered by KarmicLiving may be shared with our Partners in aggregate form so as not to reveal our Members' identities. We do not share this information with other companies, excluding suppliers contracted to provide services that involve processing data on our behalf, unless the Member has first agreed to us sharing that information. If a Member gives us permission to share their personal information with third parties then that Member may retract permission at any time by changing the settings on their account.
If a Member retracts permission to share information, then KarmicLiving will not make that information available to third parties from the date of that retraction onwards.
Providing KarmicLiving with personal information does not result in you receiving offers and communication from KarmicLiving, unless you elect to "opt-in" to receive such information.
Visitor Identification
KarmicLiving uses "cookies" to distinguish your visit to the site from the other members concurrently using the site. In order to make use of the KarmicLiving application your browser must have cookies enabled.
Once your visit to KarmicLiving has ended, your visit "cookie" will be disabled. It will not monitor your Internet use outside of KarmicLiving. A Member may 'elect' to store a cookie on their computer so that subsequent visits to the Site by the Member from that Computer will not require an additional login. This cookie will not store personal information, and will only be active during your visits to The Site.
Information Transfer
Members of KarmicLiving may elect to share some of their personal information with other members on the site by using public profiles ("Profiles"). By making your Profile public, you agree that we may transfer the information thereon across international borders by making it available on KarmicLiving to other Members.
Discussion Forums
KarmicLiving makes discussion forums available to Members. Please remember that any information disclosed in these areas becomes public information and as such is available to all other Members. Please exercise caution when disclosing personal information in public forums.

KarmicLiving has taken appropriate reasonable measures to prevent unauthorized access to and improper use of your personal information. KarmicLiving’s membership database is stored on servers located in the UK, and accessible only by an administrator-issued password.

KarmicLiving offers users the ability to change the information collected during registration at any time and as often as necessary. Additionally, KarmicLiving may on its own initiative, or at your request, replenish, rectify or erase any incomplete, inaccurate or outdated personal data.
